ABOUT JSKA & JSKA - INDIA
JAPAN SHOTOKAN KARATE ASSOCIATION (JSKA) is having
world headquarters in Japan the largest and most respected and popular
shotokan karate organization in the world, The JSKA established
in 1999 was founded by Japanese Master Shihan Keigo Abe.
Former JKA senior instructor Keigo Abe 8-dan formed the Japan Shotokan
Karate Association [JSKA] in Japan on 10th Feb. 1999 after resigining
from the Japan Karate Association [JKA]. It is one of the
fastest growing Shotokan Associations in the world. Most recent
estimates states t JSKA has world wide membership of over 8,50,000
students in more than 72 countries globally
JSKA was founded in India by Sansai Siraj Ahmad
in the year 2003, By this untiring efforts, the name of JSKA is
now known all over India. It has numerous branches in the whole
country and getting multiplied day by day.
Objectives
of the JSKA- India
The main purpose of the JSKA- India is to encourage sound development
of the members of the association so that they will benefit physically
morally and spiritually from the art of Karate-Do.
The association also aims to promulgate, perpetuate and improve
true Karate-Do. True karate-Do is not a vicious form of fighting,
rather it is a scientific and philosophical art of fighting, that
has developed over a period of many centuries in the orient. As
an art of self-defense, karate has a lengthy and impressive history.
Karate long ago established itself as an effective and efficient
means of unarmed combat.
The KARATE
Karate is the art of unarmed self defense. Karate-Do is a Japanese
phrase meaning kara-empty, to-hand, do-way, or the way of the empty
hand. The body as a whole is used as weapons through techniques
of punching, kicking, striking and blocking. There is no biding
of age or gender in getting training of karate.Of Primary importance
in the study of Karate are form, balance, "Centeredness",
power, speed, kime (explosive concentrating of power), rhythm and
timing. The quality to accomplish this is self-control. To become
a victor, one must first overcome one's self.
Karate is a centuries
old martial art, formally introduced Shotokan Karate in Japan by
Master Gichin Funakoshi. Since 1950's Karate has been practiced
throughout the world. Karate is an excellence exercise, utilizing
90% of the body muscles. The mental aspect are as important as the
physical. the ultimate aim of karate training is to develop character,
sincerity, etiquettes, self control, mental, physical energy and
self defense.
